While lacking the blood and gore of contemporary horror films, there are enough scary images -- dead rats and dead birds served for lunch, every shriek and cackle leaving Bette Davis's mouth, for instance -- to bring nightmares to younger and more sensitive viewers.5/5. A beautifully written with unsuspected ending on all 3 stories; one main and 2 short ones. I have never seen the movie of "What Ever Happened to Baby Jane" before, but the book and the superb performance by Lorelei King (narrator) gave vivid visual effect.
